Keeping my Chickens Entertained

Are you sure the birds are bored....or is it you? ;)

What does your coop and run look like?
Pics please?
Is your run covered to keep snow out...do you get snow there?

2x2's and branches for roosts in run. Logs, stumps, pallets leaned against wall or up on concrete blocks, grazing frames, old table/chairs/benches.
We don't have any snow in the run but it has snowed, we just have a really good roof on the run. I'll try to take some pictures soon

I'll definitely try these suggestions! Thank you guys so much! Any idea on where to get a flock block though? I couldn't find one at Tractor Supply so I tried my local feed store and they had a bird block that said meant for all birds. Would that work? I didn't get it because I was a little worried it was more meant for wild birds then for chickens...

It's basically what it sounds like. I have a few geckos too so when I get their crickets I get some for my hens as well. I usually just take a paper towel tube and allow a few crickets to crawl in it, then put in in the run and the chickens wait for one to crawl out, it keeps them occupied for a while
Ah ok. I have a cricket holder (?) that has tubes for the crickets to crawl into then you shake them out, but couldn’t think how you would put that in your chicken area. Lol
My normal cricket supplier gives me crickets in a brown paper bag. They close shop for a few weeks and when I have to get crickets from the gas station - they have you get a styrofoam cup with a lid. :D So, once I got them home (the first time), I wasn’t sure how I was going to get the crickets into their normal container w/o losing half of them. So, I made a tab on the lid like you would have when you get a coffee to go and shook them out. Well, when I did that for the chickens this last time, they loved it!

My tsc has them so does the feed store. There are some recipes for homemade ones floating around here too.
