How do the lavender orphingtons lay? Dispostion?

I got lavender orpington i will have some chicks on the 23rd, also have some hatching eggs. they are calm and great layers. you can see pics on my website

I'm rather disappointed with my lav orpingtons. The one almost a year old hasn't started laying yet, the other 2 are a month younger, 1 was laying but she stopped. I was hoping to have some eggs to hatch.

Hi, everyone!

Any leads on someone in the Etown/Louisville area with French Black Copper Maran hatching eggs or chicks for sale? We're looking to add some dark color to our Plymouth Barred Rocks and Easter Eggers.

While I doubt it, does anyone want a free Easter egger cockerel? He was hatched last August. Black and white, very pretty... He's a decent flock guardian and tends to his hens. He is very protective, and has become a little aggressive recently. (which is why I have to find him a new home) He is a part time free ranging chicken. (allowed into the yard when we're home) He is healthy as far as I am aware.

I don't have the heart to eat him, but if someone wants to take him for that purpose, I just ask that you be honest. I'm in the Louisville area, but I'm willing to drive and meet someone if they are interested.

Hello Kentucky friends
I am new to the site and Chicken's
we have 3 hens and 5 bby chicks at the moment don't have a clue as to what they are...so maybe you guys and gals can help me out

I know the Gray one is a Cochin and a Wyandotte Mix....but not sure on the white one ? we have 2 of them and there are different breeds that they look like but not rea sure what to actully look for lol

and these are the chick's...they are not from the hens up top...the orange one has feather's on it's feet....

Just wanted to let everybody on the Kentucky thread know that I raise and sell German Shepherd Dog puppies and will hopefully be having 2 litters soon. My puppies get to be around chickens from their birth.
