Kentucky people

I am curious if anyone knows of any good feed mills in western KY? I called Farmers Choice down in Mayfield and asked what the highest protein feed they had was and it was only 16% (I have been feeding mine 20%) and when I asked the cost per pound the guy said "bout 11 bucks." If he quoted me the price per lb, that is insane. If that is for 50 lbs. then thats a pretty good price. Where is the best prices on feed in western KY?

Check Odom's out hwy 45south mayfield. They can make you what you want or check Marshall county co-op for a reasonable complete ration. Hope this helps.--- James

Well, I have a bit of a problem. Live in Dry Ridge, but the feed store I go to was not sent any high protein turkey starter this week. Anyone know of feed stores in the northern kentucky area that would carry something like a high protein starter?

Curious - where do you buy your feed? I haven't seen anywhere that carries turkey feed close by.

A place in Crittenden right off of the I75 exit, Lawn and Garden is what is on the front of the building I believe. They sell a lot of different feeds and beddings, great prices too.

I don't necessarily buy turkey feed, I buy turkey starter for a high protein chick feed. But I believe they carry starter and adult feed.

Hello fellow kentucky chicken lovers. I am in Stamping Ground right in between Georgetown and Frankfort. I started out with 6 Golden Comet pullets but unfortunately lost two of my girls to my german shepherd and welsh corgi pup. The remaining 4 are doing wonderful. I am trying to find chicken swaps that are close to my neck of the woods. I'm really wanting to get a couple EE's can't decide if I want pullets or full grown hens since my 4 GC's are only 7 weeks old so egg laying is a couple months away for them.

I think there is a trading/sale at the Tractor Supply in Georgetown tomorrow. Good luck!
