Kentucky people

A big Hello from Northern Kentucky. I raise & breed French Marans, Olive Eggers, Jubilee Orpington's, & Spangled/Mottled Orpingtons.
I am happy to have found this thread. :)
Welcome!!!! I have several of the same breeds. A single BCM, Ameraucanas, OE's BBS English Orps, Jubilees, Chocolate Bantam Orps, Bearded Silkies. Digging out my Brinsea to hatch more Jubs of a different bloodline. Do you have GFF?

I'm not sure I'm ready for more at the moment.. lol.. still trying to break my dog of wanting to eat them! I think she's playing with them but she likes to put them in her mouth! I hate that minimum rule, I understand it in a way but still a pain in the butt! Thank you tho for the offer!
No problem! I will post of Craiglist. Shouldn't have a problem since they are sexed female and Chick Days are over. Enjoy you birds. Good luck with your dog!

LOL, I will learn all this terminology eventually!
BTW: I have 3 LF English/American Split Orpington cockerels 2 Blue, 1 Splash that I must find a home for. They are 2 months old and very healthy. I am offering them very cheap to the right home. Do you know anyone who breeds these, and would like some fresh bloodline? I purchased eggs, and 5 hatched, 4 were cockerels! Just my luck.

You know there is a solution to the problem of 4:5 being cockerels. More chicks.

I just hatched 4 BBS chicks also. 3 are boys. Luckily my first batch were all pullets. I'll probably rehome one. I wouldn't think you'd have a problem rehoming those guys. Blue and splash are still really popular. If I get a splash in the future I might try breeding with my chocolates and try for mauve. Of course we are way behind on additional coop and run construction. Ah chicken math!

I agree. One can never have too many!

Hi Guys! I am in Georgetown. Just starting with chickens, but we bought 12 hens that are already laying (well 11 of them are, ones a pullet). They came with the coop I bought. I'm looking forward to learning here.
