What part of Kentucky? I have a couple of Pullets that started laying in December and have not stopped(with supplemental light). La Flèche, lay medium sized white eggs, bad combs but gorgeous birds.

i m just got me a little gray and white and black Nubian goat it a female going to use her for milk i get her on April the first cant wait but i dont know any thing about getting them from KY to Florida

Just started the 'bator last night. Will be my 1st hatch of Buff Orpington chicks. 1 Roo and 5 hens. Should hatch on or around March 13th. I live in Hardinsburg, Ky. I will have Buff Orpington chicks hatching on or about March 13th. I live in Hardinsburg, Ky. Its about 1 hour from Louisville.

I live in PRP area of Louisville with my husband, two old cats and two dogs! We are adding chickens this year! I'm super excited and the husband is on board! I grew up on a small farm with chickens and have fond memories! I hope we are successful! I wanted to buy 6 meat birds and 6 laying hens but I'm afraid that 12 might be a scary start (and city ordinance says no more than 6, just figured meat ones are only around for 9-12 weeks and I might be able to sneak by with it?!)

I'm planning on mail ordering my chicks since I know what breeds I want. Has anyone had any luck with that?
