Kentucky people

All this talk of Button Quails had me wondering about them so I did a web search for them.

Here is the link I found.

www.cyberquail.com It shows how they took a drinker that would normally fit between cage bars and using a coat hanger hooked it over the side of an aquarium.

Hope it helps.

Walmart had the long tube one, but I didn't know if they were big enough yet to use anything like that. If I did the tube, I would probably put two fo them in tha tank when they got older.

If I just had something temporary, I could get one maybe at TSC next week. Not sure who else would have anything like that, unless I ordered it online, hmm... wonder if ebay would have it - probably would. I'll go look after I'm done here.

I changed the room around, so I can actually get to my closet door, now

It still needs work, but it is getting refined. Once I'm done I'll take pics and post em, if anyone is interested.

I'm thinking I may have to bring the playpen in for the chicks during the daytime (they can go into the cage at night) because they are growing and the cage seems smaller, and they jump around a lot. Poor babies need some play room. If I get a break tomorrow in the rain/snow I'll grab it and haul it in there - now that I actually have enough floor space to set it up

I didn't know if the local TSC (campbellesville) would have them or not - the TSC there is pretty lame sometimes - always out of stuff, takes them forever to restock.

They were out of Tylan for three months - must have been a BIG run on Tylan eh ?

Well, my 'find' of a fisher price farm for $6.50 has now went up to $17.50

Oh well, I guess I'm just gonna have to pay for one

It is such a tease!! It stays really low (on a lot of them) until they get close to the end, then they go through the roof!

I will have one of these...oh yes, I will....

Did I mention I think my son is a nerd??

He got all excited a week or so ago when we went to the post office. He was checking out the stamp machine and saw the 1 cent stamps that had the 'Tiffany' style lamp shades on them. He just had to have one

Then he gets all excited saying 'I got my first stamp!!' So not only does he want to collect 'feather chickens' but he wants to collect stamps as well...Oh well, at least stamps are cheaper, until he starts being able to check out auctions on eBay!! There are some expensive ones on there!

Jon collects a lot of things - some he has stopped collecting (thank goodness

) for instance, for a few years he could not pass a bottle cap laying on the ground without picking it up and taking it home. Bottle Caps!!! beer, pop, any bottle cap.

Stamps aren't bad for kids - but yeah, they can get really expensive - hopefully he'll have a job of his own before he wants the really expensive ones.
