Kentucky people

Those Cochins are cute but they always remind of featherd covered soccer balls!

Meri, sorry about your hand, have you tried putting ice on it for 10 minutes then soak it in warm water for 15?

I wish you ladies had said something earlier about needing cookie cutters I could have mailed you some.

btw - a couple of those blue splash are still the tiniest things!! the others are normal banty size, but two of them are still teeny tiny.

They're the smallest chickens I've ever seen, I'll have to get some pics for ya to see them.

but I rarely make cut cookies - they are so much bother, I just had a craving for gingerbread men

I recall when Adam was young we made sugar cookies one year - I was having so much fun I tripled the recipe. It was WAY too many cookies to decorate

, I didn't do cut cookies for years after that.

No, they just have the tiniest holes in them! I was going to check them again, since I hadn't seen them move since this afternoon. I also needed to put more water on the sponges/towels in there, since the humidity is about 72% and that's as high as it would go. I opened the top and 'what???' poured the water as best I could without slopping it everywhere, and slapped the lid back on! I can't wait! I know it will be like tomorrow night before they are out....why does it have to take so long??

ETA:I didn't help them at all. I'm afraid to. The last month or so, every chick that I have helped has died. So I figured I'd just wait it out. I was actually gonna check them, and maybe pop a small hole in the end if they weren't moving as well. But they are doing fine!

I can't wait to see what babies I'll get out of them. I was gonna use James as my roo - but then Shelley brought me the mottleds from the auction, and James died, so now it's Rudy Patooty. He's super sweet, too. He'll come and stand on my feet and stretch up as tall as he can get to look at me for treats.
