So sorry for your loss...You'd think with those big dogs nothing would get into the yard but I guess where there's a will there's a way for a predator. Maybe a hawk grabbed it and flew to a tree in the woods? Or maybe she is hiding someplace with some eggs, has blue been getting romantic?

Dunno though there really isn't anyplace to hide there in the pen is there? or have you moved them into that building? Maybe she flew over and hid with some eggs. I've notice Anna and a bantam have been flying over the fence to lay an egg in the coop outside the fence, then fly back into the run...Crazy birds...

Cindy

PS Hows CoCo by the way? Has he learned to jump the fence yet?

Well since ya'll aren't on yet guess I'll go make some rag pillows...Have two left to make. Shelley does Cris like the feel of fleece? Maybe I'll make him one too...I have to make Layne one anyway for his B-day may as well make two when I do. I usually make them two at a time since I have just enough fabric each time for two. What kind of print would he like, I'll be getting the material from Wallyworld?

Cindy

Wow, hmmmm......I guess it wouldn't really matter what the print was, he's pretty easy. He has a pillow he uses a lot that has rubber duckies on it, so I guess whichever you get for Layne's would be good.

Sorry I abandoned everyone last night! Me and Cris were watching the Polar Express, and I crashed out! Woke up at 6:30 this a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep, so that will teach me!

Had a surprise in my hatcher this a.m. wanna see?

How cute is that? The one right next to the baby is trying to get out, it keeps moving the flap over its hole! The other is just chilling, but it pipped a day after these did.

really interested i Boers. Don't kow anyone has a bred one they need/want to get rid of reasoable do u?

I wish someone had ask last month. I downsized the first of November and sold several really nice registered boers for like $55. I dont know of any right off but I will keep an ear open. I might go to London the January 6th and look around. That is there stockyard day. The am is flea market stuff and sales in the pm. They usually have goats. I am needing a nice buck. But I am going to be pretty choosy.

Well I had an interesting night. Went home to a flood in the basement. Our basement is finished. Well it was. The ceiling in 2 rooms are now on the floor. I think a water line froze and busted.

My pregnant doe looks like she might be in her last couple of weeks. She has some discharge but still has hair on her tits. They say that they shed that off before the babies come. She looks like it will be triplets.
And when I was down last night I checked in on my silkies. I wanted a picture of the brown one and I couldnt find her. Well I was looking in a box where there was several. Well I would tell you how many was in there but I think I am going to start a game with it. I will attach a picture soon so you all can guess. I think it is pretty funny.

Ok. Here is my game. I was going to start a new topic but no I just share with you guys. I will make the deadline 7pm. Sorry no prize just the glory of winning. Here is the picture.
How many silkies are "INSIDE" the nesting box??

not stupid - a Goonie is what I call the Guineas - I had 10 of them to begin with, named them Mikey, Brand, Chester Copperpot, Data, Mouth, Sloth, One Eyed Willie.... you get the picture

I gave 4 to a friend when it was time to turn them loose on the world, and one of mine died two days after they left the coop (no mark on her, she was just dead one morning) and the other 5 have been the bane of my hen's existence ever since.

I sold three the other day - a hen and too males, so now I have a pair left. The only reason they are still here is because they are smart enough not to get caught.

Well since Shelley already chose 5 I'll say 6.... And yes that is a very pretty Partridge....I have a Partridge girly that was my first broody ever. She laid herself an egg in Sep. then just stayed...Then I added 2 Millie eggs, and the Jap was caught on a daily basis laying in there(an I believe a Dutch laid in it too) so I moved Belle to another box and that stopped the Jap(she couldn't find Belles nest), so she ended up with 8 eggs...Hatched out 6 and one disappeared one night when the hatch wasn't locked right and another got stuck to her feathers and died of dehydration. Now the poor thing looks pitiful because she is moulting...Was worried she was sick at first then remember seeing pics of moulting birds.
