Here are my new self blue cochins! I got these from my good friend "Bluedog420". He has some really nice birds and is selling out of his bantams, so get 'em while they're hot!

Yeah I've been PMing our Ky folks about them...Can't wait to get the Jizzles...YAY!! Been waiting for a while for him to sell these or at least the offspring.

ETA: I've bought some pretty Millies from him in the past...And he gave my son a Guinea chick, two Millie girls chicks and a game chick this last Spring. They grew to be really pretty birds but the Guinea....He's a mean dude, really picky about who he likes of the flock...The rest he chases. I also got a Black Cochin bantam as a chick and she is really pretty right now and almost ready to lay. Meri has the other one.

If Cindy is getting anything off him, I may have her pick up the black pullets for me. I need more pullets, Shelly can have the mottled, I know she wants those

(I have a pair of mottled, anyway).

I can drive to Cindy's for chickens, but driving all the way to BlueDog's would give hubby hissy fits

Once I get everything fixed around here, the cochins will be the only bantams I'll have.

I'm working things out to have Bantam cochins, giant cochins the dual purpose flock and the layer flock I already had before. Everything else is going bye bye - one way or another.

I moved the babies all out to the lower coop today. I had the mixed ones out there, but they were doing so well, I put the giant cochin babies out too. They, actually have more feathers and would do better than the others, probably.

I just couldn't deal with the stink of 7 pooping chickens in the house. I had to change the playpen bedding every single day!! it was bad

So, now I just have the two buff orp babies inside. Then, whenever Cackle sends out the other chicks I'll have a houseful of chicks again

BC probably comes running hoping she can come inside with ya

she liked being an inside chicken, I think. If I'd have had a chicken diaper I'd have probably let her run all over the room when I was home with her.

eta - one thing I'm good at is spoiling chickens
