Have you summarized your points in your paper yet? The final paragraph could be a restatement of your position and a summary of the points that you made throughout your paper. Just a thought.

Yes, that part is covered. It's the 'body' of the paper that needs more 'filling out'

Dang, that really stinks

I was at like 1500 earlier today and i have cruised right along to 2100. But when I take the references pages off, I'm about 200 words too low

Evidently my references were a bit longer than I thought. I recounted without the references pages, and I'm still 300 words short!

Maybe I'll just do without it and hope they don't notice?

Okay did you summarize your position yet? Did you restate your points or facts? Or can you think of a way to end your paper with a challenge to the reader through the use of your facts and position?

Ok, got everyone situated so far this morning.

I let the pair of splash calls out for a bit this morning, then locked them up and let out the other three - it is working ok for today. It helps to have a spare coop that I can run BC out of, and leave the other two in. Silly chicken keeps trying to move in with the two splash ducks.

other than that, it's a slow morning.

Oh, but Happy Friday the 13th !! almost forgot

Happy anniversary!

ETA: It had become sort of a wedding tradition in our church that instead of having a traditional recessional, the new couple would exit to an upbeat song or musical selection of their own choosing. Some chose Michael Bolton songs, some chose Celtic music, but what just beat all is the couple who, immediately following the minister's introduction of the new couple, they popped on dark sunglasses and walked out to the music from "Mission: Impossible". kinda prophetic in their case....

Which one? The paper or the marriage?

Did you get the proofed copy back?

I didn't find much wrong with it - for flow and for making sense. Maybe 4 items or so.

It's funny that you had a hard time making over 2000 words - My problem is cutting it back to fit the limit of words - I tend to get um.... verbose....

I hate chopping up the stuff I write to make it fit the limit. I write it as I "hear" it in my own head, and making it fit a certain guideline sort of messes that up for me.

That's one reason I have my writing college on hold (I have 6 months til I have to figure out what to do about it) cause I am having the hardest time working within their guidelines. I guess I'm just too independant, and too scornful of "The Authorities"

My tuition is paid in full, so I just took a leave of absence.

You see, I know I'm learning a lot through the work I have to do - but it sucks so bad!! I feel like they're cramping my creativity, ya know what I mean Hoss? I am having a hard time writing good stuff to fit what They want. I can write all day about stuff I want.

I know, I know ... it is teaching me discipline and editing skills - but I figure if I ever become "rich and famous" (

I have trouble getting enough words when it is something I'm not familiar with. I am familiar with a lot of things regarding my paper, but I just couldn't write about stuff I know, I had to have references. I am no good at paraphrasing, or summarizing, and that really throws me off. I still haven't gotten an answer about the references. I'm thinking I don't need a reference on the references page for the charts and tables, but I don't know for sure. The instructor had told me on my rough draft that I needed an in-text citation for the dept of labor findings, and that was one of the references for a chart. I hope they get back to me soon!!
