I didn't take the piggies, because I figured they would probably be quite ill to begin with.

I also didn't take the poultry because A) one of the (real) rescuers took them to his farm to be tested by the vet and B) after I thought about it they were probably pretty sick, also.

Ed (neighbor who called me) said he would have taken a PBP if he had the facilities for it. Ed is a HUGE animal lover, and I know this probably made him sick to his stomach.

btw, I believe the horse that was mentioned was blind - I used to see it out in the field all the time. The goats were bought, from someone else I know, last spring to help feed the other animals (goats milk). I'm sure she's probably reading the stories with horror, too.

ETA - you know, a lot of folks around the area have had their dogs go missing - and I know of one incident (actually posted on the "rescue" website blog) where they "took the animal in" because they saw it running loose. I wonder how many folk's pets got loose one day and never came home because these people decided they were "neglected".

We have a creepy older lady in our neighborhood who does that with cats! She is a hoarder, the police have been involved more than once. She takes people's outdoor cats, or she tries to steal cats that belong to children because she thinks that people who let their cats outside neglect them, and that all children are cat abusers. She feeds the strays that live in the storm drains around the block every day at dawn and she carries a two foot wooden cross. I used to think she was a neighborhood myth until one morning we were out early and saw her. Then another night we were out after midnight and she was down there with the feral strays in the dark waving her big cross! It's so strange.

wow.. now THATS weird

I know! It's completely unbelievable, and we had decided it wasn't true until we saw her for ourselves. Rumor has it (hoping this part isn't true) that a couple other ladies on our block used to feed the strays in the storm drain with her, and then they got scared of her because she started bringing the wooden cross and told the other ladies that she was eating the cats she captured so that they could remain a part of her forever.

When my kitty was lost, we hung up posters, and she called me. (I didn't know it was the same lady until a neighbor told me that was her name.) She told me that Satanists in a certain duplex around the corner (she was specific) were capturing cats and sacrificing them and eating them.

How screwed up is this story? LOL. I am afraid for my outdoor cat on a daily basis. To add intrigue to the mystery, someone put one of the storm drain kittens on our porch last summer. She was sick and weak, she couldn't move. I think the cat lady did it. She's found out I am also a cat lover.

No, I still haven't gotten the pics yet, sorry.

I've just been so busy the last few days, been trying to catch up on a bunch of stuff I left undone over the winter -- Now they've caught up to me.

I'll try to remember to do it today. Oh, btw, were you just considering her? or would you want the cockerel that looks like her, also?

I'll also try to get pics of the two Jr. babies I have inside - bantam babies are so cute

I'm keeping most of her babies (once her others hatch). I don't need any cockerels out of them, so I hope I have a lot of girls out of her eggs she is sitting on.

As dangerous as that barn is, I'm going to bring them in as soon as she hatches them out - she won't like it, but she'll get over it.
It is open to stray cats, coons, then they have to climb over or under the skids in there (the floor floods if it rains) and run the gauntlet of donkey feet to get in and out. They'll never survive.

Oddly enough, the two I have from her so far look totally different from each other - I can't wait to see what comes out of the eggs she is on. The one baby looks like she did as a baby, but has some copper brown in it's back stripe. The other is all-over copper brownish black.

Maybe I'll just run out there now to try to get some pics of the olive eggers while I'm thinking about it. be back....

Ok, these aren't great pics, but you'll get an idea of her coloring, etc...

The pics of the babies didn't turn out (have to go get some more) but the ducks found a puddle this morning

Ok, got one - also a horrible pic. The brown baby came out rather sticky, we're still working the ick off him - so his head is plastered a bit yet.

OK did anyone else see the sam and jen tell on here??? She was having triplets, with 2 or 3 other kids at home. And then 1 of them died??

Well I did. I read the whole thing. Like 100 some pages. I was caught, hook line and sinker. Such a fool I was. I got on today to look up the page to see how everyone was. It was untrue. I just cannot believe someone would do that. It makes me not want to believe anyone.

You weren't the only one that fell for the whole thing. don't feel bad. However the person is being dealt with. And yes he definitely is a sick person who needs some serious help.

Love the pics Meri, especially the fluff butts!

So, "sam and jenn" didn't have triplets (one dead)?
