Sounds like me! I spend every cent it seems on my animals! I'm trying to catch up by selling some eggs, but they only lay so many! And out of my silly adult jumbos, only 1 female is laying so far. But they have a light on them now, when I remember to turn it on, so maybe that will help? I need to steal some oyster shell from my dad to give them I guess.

It went okay as far as I know. There was a part that they had to cut out that is bugging me. I think some of the stitches came loose.

Other than that, it's okay!

I was wondering that myself... I do have the playpen for a few days....

I am planning to get rid of some ducks at Sano friday, and then move the 8 chicks Ihave in the big cage inside out to the call duck coop - and make the calls move in with the remaining ducklings. BC will have to move in with George.

That will give me two 30" square cages inside, plus the playpen if needed, and if it warms up nicely I'll stick them out into the coop, too.

We'll find room for them.

eta and if they sell good, I'll buy 100 more next week

Meri, what color do you call your Chicken George? I know he is a full size roo, but my banty looks just like him. He has the gold on his neck, hackles and a couple of gold/yellow feathers in his wings.

What inter-county book are you all talking about that you ordered from?

Closest I can come to George is a Silver Duckwing - but he does have the gold on him, too. I'm sure he's a mix of colors, but he is pretty, so I don't care

I found the ad in the local Taylor County RECC magazine (Kentucky Living) it comes free in the mail from our electric co-op.

Yeah, I am hoping there aren't over half roos - but I suspect there probably will be. Still, if I sell them for a buck a piece, I'll get my money back, plus - and at that age, they may not care.
If I sell straight run for a dollar each it's a good price.

Plus, I may keep some pullets for egg layers.

George is probably a mix of silver and golden duckwing, but I would lean more to silver.

And 50 is the lowest you can get? That stinks

Plus you'll be running the market on them at Sano, if you get that many!
