LOL, You can never have enough silkies girl!..LOL, I always said I am going to have a pair and thats it...I now have 23..LOL

I do not even know how many I have right now if you counted all of the chicks I have. I bet it is getting close to 30 and that is not counting the unhatched eggs. My good ole Cochin hen is raising 11 right now that she hatched for me last weekend. She sat on 14. 1 died hatching and 1 nonfertile. And 1 got stepped on when it fell out from under moma.

Teresa Ann & croney...um, might y'all be near I75? i would LOVE some good silkies and what is this i read about PEAFOWL croney???

estpr13... thank you! people keep asking me if i am going to cook the next possum i whack. maybe! it'll be an adventure in backyard cuisine!

i have a BUNCH of Brown Sexlinks if anyone is wanting some and is near I-75, i can haul some down with us.

As and added incentive to move down here, we don't get buried under 6 feet of snow in the winter!

I dont know? What about peafowl?
I have sort of a petting zoo. Or that is what everyone tells me. I have a pair of mini donkeys that think they are lap babies. The jack is mostly white with black spots and the jenny is the typical brown with black lines. I have a mini lop bunny that runs around the barn lot. I have 2 big tennesse walking horses. 6 young boer goats. All but 1 is very lovable. A pair of lady amherst pheasants. 2 pair of peafowl. And I lost track of the chickens. My partner and I raise Polish, Cochins, Wyandottes, Barred Rock, White Leghorn, Hamburg, Blue Andalusian, and Silkies. I have babies is most of them. My black Cochin hen has 11 silkie babies under her at the moment. I dont know how many babies I have at the moment. I have 8 different brooder boxes with chicks averaging from 1 week to 2 months old. And a outside pin with about 50 3 month old chicks in it. And yes any of them are for sale. We have a auction coming up in June 20 that we will probably take alot.
I think that about covers it. I live about 1 hour south of Lexington. We are about 20 minutes from Lake Cumberland in Somerset.

FCW...well, next time i will fair warning and we can get our BBQ party on!

croney...i see in your siggy line that you've got Peas. that was what i was saying. i have peafowl envy now! (i am saying Thou Shalt Not Covet in my head over and over!)

Teresa Ann...lemme see if that works with travel plans! maybe i'll be meeting you about the Silkies!

Heather Lynn...up here in MI, i just list extra roos and cockerels on Craigslist and Freecycle as freebies. they are usually gone in a matter of hours.

THREE DAYS!
