I Just found out Sat while I was at the swap in Shepherdsville that there is a swap in Etown also. The guy I talked to said he had been to the one in Etown the last few weeks, but wanted to see if Shepherdsville had picked up any. From what he said the one in Etown is at the bowling alley where they have the farmers marketand you don't need to be there till around 7:30 or 8:00. He said it is fairly new (not sure if he ment just the animals, or the whole thing), but he said he has done really good there. I plan to check it out in about 2 weeks when my bunnies are ready and incubators hatch.

BTW the one in Shepherdsville is accross from the big flea market, set up is $10 (went up since last time I was there) and you want to get there around 6:30.

hmmm...sure didn't know about that one, is it on Sat morning? What all are they selling there?

Anyone want to buy some Golden Comet Pullets (~10 weeks old) ($20 for all 4) and/or Mille Fleur Bantams (2 female buff, and 1 pair Porcelain), asking $30 for all four? I am too busy to drive out to a swap and the local Craigslist is flooded with chickens. I am in Lexington.

We have way too many chickens in our backyard and these were supposed to go with my mom when she left and she ran out of room in her car.

Yes it is Sat mornings, as far as what they sell the guy I talked to had chickens, ducks and guineas. He said there is also a farmers market. I may just go up there this Sat to check it out before I take anything. If I do I will post what I find.

I live in Far eastern KY, almost on the WV border. I googled Munfordville, Ky to my home and the trip is about 3 1/2 hours. But hey, you can still come if you want

I'll be there with a few birds.

What are you bringing? I think I'll be there with some gamefowl.

I've been several times to the etown flea market and have never seen any poultry at all. I may have to check it out before I load up my duckies. I have 10 4 weeks old that I am needing to sell. And I have an incubator filled right now. If egg rocking and candling is any indication I may have another 13 this week.

Anyone have a clue what I can do with all these duck eggs? I tried cooking with them. Baking was ok, everything else was yuck. I am getting at least 14 a week right now. These 2 duck gals lay better than some of my chickens at this point. I don't want to leave them out there to go bad or attract unwanted visitors. I thought hatch and sell but I am having fairly bad luck on that front. Granted I have never tried to sell anything like this so I have no clue where to start.

Does anyone around Lexington have started Khaki Campbell ducks? I would like to keep around 6 hens and a drake for my egg buying customers. They'll free range and have their own wading pool.
