Definitely an instigator!! Sorry I deserted you! Today is the last day for this set of classes, and I was still working on my essay. Cristian would not leave me alone, so I unhooked everything and went to the kitchen. I am seriously going to get a wireless adapter when I get some money!!

I bailed, too.

Other than a water dish, I have the tank all set for the babies to come on home with me. I have to take Jon to work in a half hour, though, so I'll stop in at wal-mart and see what they have for smallish bird waterers.

I have pine shreds in the bottom - is that gonna be a problem for them? I know they are tiny, maybe I ought to put puppy pads in there until they are bigger. Oh, and do I feed them regular chick starter but ground up finer? it is crumbles, is that too big? (I have some 20% chick starter, now). The sites on them all seem to say different things

so I figured I'd ask you.

I can't wait til tomorrow to come get some hens for Specks and those tiny tiny tiny babies

I'll probably be out about the usual time.

ETA the hatching room isn't done yet, but hey, I have a floor in there !!!

poor guy. (he stopped growling, anyway

)
He does like to crow, though, and he has a nice big deep crow

I can't wait to give him some ladies tomorrow. He'll think that old bin trip was worth it when he gets some women to hang out with.

Oh no!! Really? It must be a late bloomer!! I can take it back if you don't want it. I'm sure I have some more girls around here if you would like a different one!

I 'think' I might have a farm for Cris. It still has about 20 hours left, but it is only at $6.50 right now. The only thing it is missing is the silo, and there's another auction with just the silo that has 2 days and is at $2 right now!!

I hope I get them!! Plus, so far I am in the lead on a fisher price garage. That one is only at $13 something right now, and I'm the highest bidder. I am only going up to $20 on that one, it's not as popular. Plus it is pretty big, I don't really know where I would put all this stuff if I do get it!

No you don't have to take it back, if it doesn't fit in I'll give it to the school librarian. They have spoiled chickens that get pizza crust once a week. And a cooler full of fresh veggies daily.

Cindy

Well that school librarian seems like a good contact to have! Does she need any more roosters?
lau.gif
No just kidding! I will wait till spring and take them to the auction or something! Oh btw, I think my roos are OEGB's, they just have white feathers by their ears. It kinda threw me off. I 'think'

I'll have ya show me tomorrow when I stop by.

I was looking at the waterer you had, and wonderig what the heck it was and where ya got it. I was gonna stop by Day & Day tomorrow, but they probably wouldn't have anything small enough, either. Walmart was a bust, they had one type of parakeet waterer, and it wasn't what I wanted.

I have a plastic cup, and I have saucers, so I'll just have ya show me how you made yours tomorrow. I do need to stop by Day & Day anyway, though

forgot I need another lamp.

It is really getting cold out there - Sam is hoping they will cancel school tomorrow

he is such a lazy butt!!!

I like how the hatching room is shaping up - Hubby agreed I need to be putting stuff on ebay, though. I asked if I sold a lot if I could get more chicken related items, He just looked at me and rolled his eyes

Part of my problem is furniture in there. Not sure what to do with all the furniture. Can't really sell that on ebay. I may have to get rid of one of the sewing machines - or put it somewhere else.

I need space around the walls, for sure. There are items I simply cannot get rid of, but other stuff is there just because I got no place else to put it. Once Jon moves out I'll have more room over in the boys house, but he isn't moving until January - I need to make room now.

well, I'll think on it -

No, Day&Day doesn't have the quail waterers, but I did ask about them before, and they said they could order them. Mine right now have part of a styrofoam cup and a bowl lid
roll.png
I need to get a quail waterer base though, the cup doesn't last very long! I am gonna have to get a bigger tank/cage. Not sure how big of one I would need for all those babies though. My brother told me to keep some for him too, but he won't be here until the end of December at the earliest, if not then, then the end of January. The waterer I had in the pics was an xtra small gladware bowl, but it didn't work right. I guess the thing needs to be taller, or the holes bigger or something. The water wouldn't come out on it's own.
Did I tell you both my white ones are males? That's just great
hmm.png
Not sure what to do with them, but they can't be together. They fight too much. And two isn't enough to do anything with. I couldn't have dad clean them for me, and I don't want to process them myself.
