Hi all! I'm located in Frankfort ky and I have 1 duckling.
I'm looking for 1 or 2 more, does anyone know where to find them close by? TSC has a minimum of 6 so that's a no go.
Looking for heavy breeds such as Pekin or Rouen.
Thanks!

Hello all. I'm obviously not new to this site (or this thread if you've read back a few hundred pages), but I have been gone for quite a long time. I probably won't be around much, but am available by PM that is sent to my email. Currently, I raise mostly ducks and geese. We've had terrible predator problems here in Adair Co.--ranging from rats to bobcats and anything in between! I have a few mixed breed chickens left but will be re-homing them this year to make room for the brahmas I will be working on. If anyone is interested in ducklings or goslings this season, just let me know. Ducklings would likely be mixed (Pekin, Runner, Mallard), but the geese are pure Embdens. Currently, my brahmas are not pure--I don't yet have a brahma rooster, so Big Hoss (who is a 6-year-old son of Charlie the phoenix and Bertha the cochin, if you've seen my really old posts) is taking care of them for now. I also have a small silkie flock and will also be keeping those. My goal is to have only Brahmas and Silkies in chickens, then my ducks and geese. And Big Hoss, of course. I'll have to either get some different girls for him or give him some of the 'garbage' Brahma girls that I'm sure to have.
They are autosexing. I mostly started with birds purchased locally, though I did get 2 females from a hatchery. I'm honestly not sure which birds were hatched here and which birds were bought, they all look the same! They are very big, but are not show quality by any means. Most of them are single-lobed but a few are double-lobed. Some of them also have keel bonesHow large are your Embdens? I'm about two hours away but have been wanting Embdens for a while. Where did your stock come from? Are they a line that you can sex at hatch with the females being darker?

I had a goose (female) killed a few weeks ago by something, and she weighed a good 18 pounds. I can link you to pics on Facebook if you use it? It takes my junky computer forever to load pics on here.
Ah, well that works thenI'm actually the Victoria who messaged you on Facebook yesterday after you posted on the Lawrenceburg swap page lol so saw the picture! Thank you!
