Well I hope Sano went well for everyone. I think I may do some weeding out of chickies that I dont want to take next Friday night. I thought about waiting until one of the Spring Auctions but that just means longer to keep them. I have some goats that I need to bring too.

Well if things work out and the weather is decent Flowerpot and I are planning to make a day trip out of it down to Sano on Friday the 20th of this month. I have mapquested the directions and travel times. So depending on when we leave here, maybe we can meet in town somewhere, have a bite to eat and caravan to Sano. I also wanted to look at some property down there while we are down there.

Well no pips, peeps or anything out of the eggs, so I pitched them all today. No more hatching eggs for me for a while. At least till I'm sure that the weather isn't gonna go below freezing or above boiling.

By the way, I checked on Lexington Craigslist and Cindy's ad hasn't shown up yet.

Well I put the 8 tiny bantam barred rock eggs into the bator yesterday along with about 20 other eggs so about the 26th of this month I could just about double my chicken population if everything goes well.

Star wanted to go out today. Sorry girl... I don't have time to watch you today give me a few days and I'll let you out. She is laying goose size eggs for me. Barely fit in the egg carton. I'm so proud of her.

One more nite of work then I get a few days off. I'm tired.

I'm here, had to take Jon to work this morning, then hit Walmart to pick up a few things.

Got me a lime, too --- gonna grill T-bone steaks, have a salad and a big margarita for dinner tonight. mmmmmmmm

the duckies are adorable - I have no idea how I'm gonna choose which ones to keep. I guess I'll seperate them by male/female, then pick out the ones I know I don't want, then try to pick the ones I want to keep.

I finally figured out that they are small enough that a big chicken waterer (gallon size) is better for them to drink out of for now. They can stick their bills into it, but not "swim" in it. Not that they don't try

ever seen 10 or 12 ducklings try to go around a gallon waterer with one leg in the water - around and around and around like some carnival ride

They make just as much mess as with the gallon jug cut out, but at least they aren't soaking wet, themselves.
