I would be afraid to let them free range, they are so tiny!! Hope she turns up for you. Make sure you check around places where there is water (even if it's a puddle) and 'shelter' even if it is a patch of tall weeds. They usually like to lay near the water, so the babies can go right in once they hatch.

The male didn't seem upset at all, and I think he would be, she's his favorite.

She hides REALLY well, last time she was down in the woods under a clump of shrubs. I only found her cause the drake was standing guard over her at the time, and I saw him.

No, I don't know anyone that has pheasants! The only ones I ever see are at Sano, and those are always the ringnecks. My friend May used to, but I think she got rid of them all.

Tomorrow morning when I let the other two out, I'll watch where he goes - he probably knows where she's hiding and will go check on her.

Yeah, he'll probably go right to her. That's how I found where my cayuga duck had layed her egg. They both came running to it when me and Cris got too close! Right in the middle of the pasture! I guess she ran out of hiding places. I'm getting some monkey grass from GPN, so I'll make some hiding places where I can find them!

They are addictive aren't they? I go to Sano just about every week, gives us (me and dad) something to do. Pretty pathetic isn't it?

My sister is bring me some ornamental grasses when she comes down, I plan to put some of them in the duck pen (when it gets built - weather permitting

Oh, I got the top part done - I'll get some pics when it gets nice out again.
