It was so pretty I got up early to do chores.
I surprized the geese and chickens and ducks - they didn't expect to be let out so early, but they were happy.
All chickies still alive and doing ok this morning - even the one who couldn't walk yesterday.
I didn't put Fluffy and Gump out last night, think I may do that today. If I had the room, they'd get to stay inside - they really aren't any trouble, and they are so sweet - I like going in and petting them and seeing their little begging faces. (yeah, these two are even more spoiled than BC was
)
Hubby (the man who has backed into chicken raising with protests and hemming and hawing) doesn't really want them to go out yet, either - he goes in there as often as I do to pet them
He's even decided he likes the geese. After all his complaining about them when I got them at the auction to bring home - he said "don't ever get any of those for yourself! I hope those get picked up soon!" He loves to stand out on the porch and watch them - and every time Benny goes off over something invading his yard, he is the first one to run to the door to see what's wrong
The other day Cinn snuck up on the porch behind him and he turned around and almost stepped on her. I heard him out there saying, "Now you know you can't be up here, silly chicken, get off the porch. go on... shoo... shoo..." The man is talking to chickens - he is hooked.
He's so cute.
