Hey ladrifter, sorry I missed this post. Day&Day get their chicks on Mondays I guess, but I'll have to go to the p.o. tomorrow, I could pick some up for you if you like? That is, if they still have some this week. I know I'll be going there next Monday as well, to check out the bantam chicks. Let me know.

Boy it sure looks pretty outside. I hate it that I am at work.

But just 1 more day until vacation. My to do list is getting very long. Plus my mother -n- law is making a to do list for me.

My 1st thing is to finish my latest chicken house. All it needs is the roof. It will be for chicks out from the brooder. By the end of the month I should have 100 chicks.

I also found some silkies on craigs list. I thought it may be bluedog but I havent got a response yet. I know I am regretting selling him some of my cochins. But oh well. I can always get more. There is some in my order from Cackle. I am getting cochins, polish and more silkies. I seen some polish at the cookville auction so I have to get some. I ordered some blue and splash.
Well back to work for me.

It was so pretty I got up early to do chores.

I surprized the geese and chickens and ducks - they didn't expect to be let out so early, but they were happy.

All chickies still alive and doing ok this morning - even the one who couldn't walk yesterday.

I didn't put Fluffy and Gump out last night, think I may do that today. If I had the room, they'd get to stay inside - they really aren't any trouble, and they are so sweet - I like going in and petting them and seeing their little begging faces. (yeah, these two are even more spoiled than BC was

Hubby (the man who has backed into chicken raising with protests and hemming and hawing) doesn't really want them to go out yet, either - he goes in there as often as I do to pet them

He's even decided he likes the geese. After all his complaining about them when I got them at the auction to bring home - he said "don't ever get any of those for yourself! I hope those get picked up soon!" He loves to stand out on the porch and watch them - and every time Benny goes off over something invading his yard, he is the first one to run to the door to see what's wrong

The other day Cinn snuck up on the porch behind him and he turned around and almost stepped on her. I heard him out there saying, "Now you know you can't be up here, silly chicken, get off the porch. go on... shoo... shoo..." The man is talking to chickens - he is hooked.

He's so cute.

Howdy y'all...had a great day at the London stock sale today. Sold alot of bird's and bought some nice banty hen's. I have never seen so many chicken's there before. I bought 2 dozen Isa Brown egg's for cooking and eating. The biggest I ever saw. As big as duck egg's, if not bigger. I gotta git me some Isa Brown's very soon...lol...well, I gotta feed, so I will return later...PEACE

If anyone in Georgetown, Winchester, Lawrenceburg, or anywhere else close to Lexington finds Ameraucanas/EE's at their local TSC or feed store can you let me know? I just want a few EE chicks, but our TSC didn't get them in. If I special order I have to get 25, and I can't afford to order 25 chicks...

(Not to mention my husband would kill me if I got that many.

Andora!!! Why are you so far away?? I have 6 of the little boogers in the brooder right now! I know I'm not going to keep them all! I'm supposed to be getting more true ameraucanas eggs from DDD next month!
