The two oddballs are the EE? That's good! Thanks for the update. I'm surprised at the guineas, considering 5 of them were broken!

I wonder if the 'bad' ones were the ones covered in goo?

And 3 of 6 BR? Could be better, but not too bad.

Yep, I thought they were EE but I couldn't remember.

) I guess it's to make ya feel better about spending so much on it.

I been using the LA200 injectable (got it for the cows) and it is wonderful - I know who got what dose and when. But if you're scared to give shots, then the Tylan is the way to go - it's good stuff, too (a lot more expensive than the LA200, though

Have you seen my yard? You have been here, right? How in the world would I catch birds to give shots?

, ok, so there is this thread on BYC and the title is "cobs in my scratch"

of course, my first thought was "heh heh heh"

I figured it was because of the teenage boys I have had to live with for so long... and yep, Sam came in and I showed it to him... he did the Beavis and Butthead laugh, too. Maybe it's a genetic thing

on that note - I'm gonna go to bed, I think I'm trying to get a sinus infection (oh joy) and I have a meeting to go to tomorrow morning.

g'night

You could always sneak up on them at night after they have gone to roost and nab them and give them their shot then.

Meri, You know I'll take any of your mutts you don't want.... My barn is full of mutts.... At least they act like mutts....

Miss Sunshine I think has finally forgiven me for tossing her egg stash.... She was out pecking around but I have the feeling she'll be back at stealing the other girls' eggs in no time... she really wants to be a broody hen.... I think she misses her baby duck she hatched... but I didn't need another scovy male and he was even bigger than his daddy when we sold him...

I got weird animals.... ducks hatching out chickens, chickens hatching out ducks and before I got rid of my turkeys they would sit on anything....

How's Amy doing today??

so... I'm waiting for tomorrow when they choose my numbers for the KY Powerball

I never play the lottery - now and then I'll get a scratch off to mess with... but $193 Million.... had to play

Don't worry, if I win I won't leave ya all behind

Glad she's doing better - too bad you can't figure out what happened in case it was a poison or something, so you could stop it from happening again.

I need some help, if anyone has some extra time on their hands!

I need to build a 'house' for the birds I'm keeping, and I also need to make 'cages' to use to take some birds to Liberty the end of this month. Dad has his own 'project' he's working on, so I can't get much help from him.

The building I'm wanting to make is pretty basic, 12'x12', with pens inside. I'm thinking I'd make the pens about 4'x4', which would allow for 6 pens on each side, with room on the end for either another pen, or shelving for storage. Then there's the runs that would need to be made.

I don't have the materials yet either, we've been having major vehicle issues, and I haven't been able to get to the lumber place to order some. I do have plenty of wire though, and some hog panel fencing that can be used for stability.

If anyone can help out, please let me know! It's getting colder everyday, I don't want to lose any birds to it!

Cindy, glad to hear Amy is still improving.

Shelley, let me check my schedules and I'll see what I can work out about coming down there to help with getting the supplies and maybe building something. Might even be able to drag Flowerpot along to help if she isn't busy.

You can give me a call, 502-708-1064
