You could start your own new breed - sell the offpsring to Skinheads - they'd scoop them up in a heartbeat

He's a F-3 cross between a dark Jersey and a New Hampshire with white skin and black legs and feet including the bottoms of his feet and toenails. His feathering is mostly black with a good deal of red peppered in.

Bluedog420 "Feet may be sore. What is he roosting on? Is the ground wet? "

None of the other chickens he is in with have this problem, so I don't think it is the wet ground. It may be an injury, I will have to look tomorrow when it is light. I picked him up today but didn't feel anything on his feet. I never thought to look. He could be roosting on something unusual. I've seen some chickens prefer to roost on some unusual things in the past so I wouldn't put it past him to be roosting on something like the edge of a 35# feeder. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi everyone!

Seems I've been M.I.A. for longer than I thought! I'm still reading older posts. I'm not sure how long it's been since I've been on, but all I've had time for lately is studying anatomy

Thank goodness next week is finals and then a break!!

Guess I'll get back to the books, but thought I'd take a little break and say Hi to everyone!

Real long shot but does anyone have a horse that is just too hot and wants to go too fast for them? We own two sweet quiet trail geldings I would love to trade for a potential endurance horse. Anything from 5-15.

We've been doing great, the little guy is getting so big, his vocabulary has really taken off here lately. He has this thing for chips and dip so Christina was telling her mom about it and she spelled out D-I-P so he wouldn't want any, he comes walking through the room going dip dip dip dip. We've got a few new birds now, a little muscovy duck took up residence on our pond a few weeks ago out of nowhere. How has your family been doing?

I know of a little gray mare that might suit you, she's definitely a handful. I'll PM you the phone number if you're interested.

Nope, thats not it either. He is only 17 weeks old and doesn't know how to crow much less do the male thingy. I picked him up today and after a few squalks, kicks and raised neck feathers, I turned him over and inspected the bottoms of his feet. Nothing there but mud and chicken poop. So both feet and legs look good.

Now I do have another roo the same age that somehow has a broken leg that has mended a bit off. That came from a Raccoon attack about 8 weeks ago. I never noticed the leg until weeks after the attack, but I don't think that attack would have anyting to do with this roo doing the High Step walk with both legs.

kygal where are you studing anatomy?

Right now I'm enrolled at Maysville Community College. I plan on getting as much education as possible there...their tuition is half the cost of other colleges.

Need some advice from my fellow Ky peeps.

Right now my chicks are 1 month old. Don't have any others. I still have them in the garage. With the weather we are having how long or when should i try and move them into the coop. I do not have power in the coop. The coop in on the farm. About 800 yards from the house. Just a bit to far to run electric cords.

here is a my link to see a live feed of them. It only works in IE and google chrome not sure how to make it work with the other ones.

thankyou for the help and advice.

almost forgot there is 41 total

11 crosses
30 RIR
