Here's the deal:
I don't yet have enough Silkie hens who are laying. (Still waiting . . .)


SO . . .


IF I can get some Silkie eggs from SQ stock from someone in KY (no more shipped eggs

), I can join in on the Easter hatchalong!



Is there ANYONE in Kentucky who has SQ or BQ Silkies who may have an extra 2 dozen eggs to sell around the 15th of March?

I wish I did but I don't know if my shipped silkie pair or paint trio will be here by then, and I only have one silkie hen laying right now. Good luck finding some!

(If they were here by then I would probably only be able to give you half a dozen or a dozen anyways.)

I also have shipped silkie eggs going into lock down today, 19/27 are doing great!

Thanks! I know, the last time I incubated shipped eggs I had zero hatch.

So Frankfort is no more, but there is going to be a show and swap April 7th in Frankfort. Also starting in April there will be a swap at paris stockyards from 7am-noon the 2nd saturday of each monthl....


Now I just need to find out when the casey co auction is before the 4H poultry club tomorrow night! Guess I get to make some calls tomorrow....

I don't know what a predictor is but I'm sorry about the loss of your bird. There is a top breeder of partridge wyandottes near Etown if you need a replacement. www.foleyswaterfowl.com Good luck!

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I lost my most favorite rooster three days ago to the neighbor's dog (this is his second kill).

The dog is now permanently GONE!

Hey folks. Been "trolling" here for a couple weeks now and finally joined up. Located in Shelby Co. We are putting together our 1st flock now as my 13 yo son began showing an interest and I'm up for anything that gets these kids outta the house! Building our coop has been a God Send for us already. Every evening after shool he came home planning the work to be done.

Anyhooo. We've started our flock w/ 5 Red Star 17 week old pullets. Awesome little birds so far. I believe we are going to try to top off w/ 3-4 Barred Rock's, but not having any luck locating any pullets w/in a decent drive.

Anyone know about Wed tradin days at Leitchfield ?
