I don't know how far you're willing to drive, but if you're at all interested in your pick of about 7 or 8 hens who are 1-2 yrs old and still laying, PM me.
For such a long drive, even to meet you halfway, they'd be free.
I will warn you that my birds can seem healthy but carry something that your current chickens are not resistant to. That risk exists anytime anyone brings birds from somewhere else into their flock.
And I did have a 5 mo old chick go down this summer with what the necropsy said is either Marek's or Lymphoid Leukosis. I believe it to be more likely to be L.L but still. Marek's is contagious, Lymphoid Leukosis is only passed from hen to egg.
I just want to make sure you are aware of this.
