I tried it at the store but don’t know if I did it correct. I was hopping for all females maybe I got lucky.

I have only ever bought 4 ducks and they were all about 10 weeks old so I could tell by their voices, all my other ducks I have bought fertile eggs incubated and hatched my self and am in the process of hatching my own eggs this year and so far I have 2 Cayuga and 1 runner duckling.

Metzers has a video about vent sexing ducks. But, said you have to do it early within a day or two of hatching. Looks a little invasive to me. It also looks like it could hurt them if not done right.

Mine were hatched the day before I bought them when I tried it and I did not press hard enough to hurt them.

Yes I have seen the video but decided I would rather wait than do that but that's just me.

I did it only because I was wanting to buy just females. I hope I got it right and got all hens.
