This cutie is a Khaki Pekin Bantam.
I was just looking at different colors to try to breed or make. Then, I ran to this cutie.
My question is
How do I get this color?

Well, you need to start with dun or khaki birds.
Khaki works like splash but instead of blue it is dun.
One dose of dun (heterozygous) makes dun.
Two doses of the dun gene (homozygous) makes khaki.
So breed dun Pekins together and you will get 25 percent black, 50 percent dun and 25 percent khaki.
Two khakis bred together makes all khaki chicks.

How would you find one? I just want to get information before I just dive into it. I really want to get a Khaki hen now. I just fell in love with the one in the picture.

I’m afraid its more of a UK color, as indicated by the watermark on the picture. You probably could only find them by importation or from very recently imported birds (if they even have been imported.)
I’ve seen the color in Orpingtons, so you may find some khaki Orpington bantams to breed with it, but otherwise you may have to let this particular color go.
