I smoked for about 20 years, quitting again and again and again, but you know what came between all the quitting
.
During one of those "put the butt down" times, I met my current wife. I tried every way I could think of to start up again - sneaky, in-your-face, join-me(?) . . . She wasn't having any of it
!
It is real, real tuff - what used to be the most difficult time was sitting, impatiently, in traffic
.
DW would cry when she suspected that I had a smoke
. I finally had to truly quit so that I could honestly say, "No! I did not!"
Find someone to be honest with. Find something else - like gum. It won't help much but it will help a little.
And, you really, really know that you are stronger than a cigarette
.
You bet you are
.
