Today I went to check on our hens (we have 2 hens sharing a box sitting 12 eggs) as today is hatch day. I found one baby on the ground still half way in its shell. I brought it in, warmed it up and assisted it in getting out since it's membrane had dried some and was stuck to the feathers. It's now chirping loudly and happy. I would like to try and introduce it back in. I know there was at least 1 other chick. If it was to reject it, would it be immediately?

Probably. I'd stick it back under a momma tonight and keep an eye on things tomorrow.

Okay stuck it next to her. She didn't kick it out, another hen stepped on it and made it chirp loudly and she frantically tucked it under her. I could see at least 1 more head peaking out. So fx!!
