Kickstarting Roo

I'm thinking I may have the answer. I have red raspberries behind my coop. Maybe my roo stepped on a few of the dead branches. I'm gonna do a "once over" when morning comes, and look for thorns.
Well... I didn't find any imbedded thorns, but I think he has bumblefoot in his left pad. His right pad is soft and supple. A little help here please.

I think I got the core out, but it closed back up and filled back in with dirt.

I would get a poultry vitamin. Giving only one vitamin, especially with b vitamins can cause problems. He's kicking because his foot hurts. Chickens get weird when something hurts. They try to get away from it.

I'm not familiar with treating bumblefoot.

This is a really good, in-depth explanation of how to treat bumblefoot. Following the advice on bandaging technique could help prevent the wound from getting dirt in it. https://the-chicken-chick.com/bumblefoot-causes-treatment-warning/

Good luck with your rooster!🐓
Well... It seems my rooster has a Vitamin deficiency. Not enough high protein. Years of 17% feed for the hens... when he needs/needed 20%.

I'm still doing the super B complex, one pill daily. Whoever said "ignorance is bliss"...got it wrong.
