Kid with a cold

I can't easily get the ones that have been mentioned though. I have easy access to the LA200, so that's why I was asking about that. Vets that see goats here are few and far between and even though I have one who will see goats, I don't know that he has ever actually treated one. I am trying to do the best I can with limited resources for goat-related things.

LA200 is the same as Biomycin just stings and I have had better luck with this than pen for upper respritory infections...check the temp on the baby first and if its over 102.5 its got a temp. Take it rectally. I get the digital thermo. at walmart and they arent expensive at all and a god send as it dont take long to get thetemp. You are right ksacres about pneumonia being fast. So you want to make sure they are sick before medicating...

I thought that their temp could be anywhere from 102-104...? Her temp just a few minutes ago was 103.3. Should I give her the LA200 that I have? If so, how much should I give?

Looks like it has a slight feve, its a bit above normal 102 is normal. I would treat . I usually give babies 1cc per 5 to 10 lbs of goat 2x a day. so a 30 lb goats gets 3cc's.

Just wanted to let you all know that she seems to be doing much better this morning. No stuffed up nose, doesn't sound congested, and seems to have a lot more energy. Thanks for all the help everyone!

A happy ending (no matter how you get to it) is always the goat, I mean goal!

I know several people that like Nuflor too. The main reason I like Excenel is that there is no milk discard if you have to give it to a doe during lactation. I can't remember if there is milk discard for Nuflor.

Not a problem with my meat goats, as I don't milk them. I do have to look at the slaughter withdrawl times though when I administer any type of prescription drugs.
