Kidney Shaped Pond for Indian Runner Ducks

Hello All,
1st Time Duck Owner.
I am installing a 60 gallon kidney shaped pond for my 4 ducks.
I want to install a pond pump and filter so we don't have to drain the water as often.

Does anyone know if ducks like running water or still water. I want to put a waterfall at the end but don't know if it will be to disruptive to the ducks.

a waterfall should keep it naturally more clean so yes it wouldnt be disruptive as ducks in the wild might live by a waterfall

My Indian runner ducks like water in any form! They will gladly paddle in still water.
When I pour water into their drinking dishes, they stick their heads under the water as it comes out of the hose or watering can and shake it off like it feels delicious. Could just be my weird ducks, though.

I have Anconas, and they don’t like it if I try to fill the pond when they are in it. But that might be because they are still young. I just purchased stuff to build a 8x6 above ground pond for them. I can’t wait!
