Kids say the darnedest things!

After my youngest DD was born, we came home and I was sitting on the couch nursing her. It just so happens the my MIL's couch has a high pillowy back that kinda pushes your head forward so you're sitting slouched over (not a comfy couch). My then 3 1/2 year old son looked at me and asked me how come my ninny was wayyyy down there and why did it move.

Then a few months later same son was laying behind me on the bed while I was laying on my side nursing his sister. Well, you all know how everything shifts when your on your side. He put his hand on my side/belly and asked me how come I was still fat and was there another baby in there.

When my son was about 3.5 he was in the tub......I could tell he was fiddling with himself and looking kind of perplexed.......I asked him what he was doing and he said "I can't get these little m&ms out of my body"......He was trying to squeeze out his little testicles and thought they were m&m candies....

Oh that story is a keeper, and a perfect one to pull out (pardon the pun) with any girlfriend he ever has.

My son used to call them tentacles too!
Funniest one I can remember wasn't even my own kid. I was working in a day care facility. One of my coworkers was a sweet "older" woman named Edwina. (She was probably 50 but I was 22 so of course she seemed ancient to me at the time.) We had a little boy who just adored her. He also apparantly adored his Uncle Ed. Somehow he got their names combined in his head and forever more he called Edwina "Uncle-wina". I still get hysterical giggle when I think of it.

well, my sweet 5 year old cousin can swear like a sailor thanks to an interesting family road trip on the freeway.
