I think it’s time to chop some heads off.
Have 5 cockerels that are stepping out of line and harassing some small Pullets. Pissed enough to try cervical dislocation with my hands.
Flipping do it! Sorry, I kinda really don’t like chickens. They are practically helpless when it comes to being a bird. Maybe I need to try gamefowl?? I dunno my 2 silkies are the best at fending for themselves. The rest depend on mwah 💋

You know what I found works better. Is a meat cleaver. Perfect long cutting edge.
DH has the Outdoor Edge processing kit that he uses.....we haven’t processed anything of size since Thanksgiving

This is one great/proud mama

With more EXTRAVAGANZA today! 20 people extravagant! I have my floatation device ready in safe-keeping! Have to keep it safe from my demon animals! Cats, it’s the cats that are demons, everybody else are angelic.

The killing station from a couple weeks ago when I processed birds for someone else.
I chop the head and then drop them immediately into the cone works great. I really want to try the slice which is why I bought the knife.

We don’t chop the heads, we pop those necks! Less mess for a messy job!

@muddy75 Is this what you use? I just bought it to try the arterial slice but I haven’t done it yet. I love the replaceable razor edge talk about super sharp.

we don’t have that one.....the processing kit has shears and different standard knives. Field dressing knives are flip blade and razor knives are Piranta (which i need to order new blades)
