When the power goes out here I pile as many quilts over the freezers as I can spare. I consolidate everything from the downstairs fridge freezer into the chest ones. Generator runs the upstairs fridge. We've been out for over a week and the freezer stuff stays frozen. You want them really full of frozen stuff, though.

Of course our power only goes out for significant lengths of time in winter on account of too many feet of snow. It's not cold inside, but it is not sweltering, either. Hopefully that doesn't happen this time, Muddy. Do you have a reasonable supply of Mr Muddy's meds?

yeah we just picked up the meds on monday so he should be good for about 2 weeks.
