Kiki's Myshire PANSY FEE Part 2

I'll be ready for my first hatch here soon. I've got everything ready, just got a wait a few weeks to take care of some personal business.

Then the next step is to trick Kiki into sending me some of her bleu balls.

Then time to set sail! :woot:
I'm testing the fertility right now. If they suck...I'll order you some fresh Bleu Ballers from the Queen Bee herself.

I am running a small experiement. I never butchered anything, EVER. Not even any chickens. But this year I would need to. I tried the rehoming route, with no luck. This year I need to butcher extra cockerels that are now just chicks and several quail males about to hatch in my incubator. The quail would mature faster, so I planned it out to first butcher quail then give a go at chickens. I wont be doing it, although I do the planning.
I will be butchering some any day now.
Probably next week. I will make more videos.

I personally hate hate hate integrating birds.
I avoid it.

Have you thought about offing your current boys once you are sure you indeed hatch more boys?
Yes, it all depends on size...

Why do you hate integrating? Not sure about quail, but chickens seem to do well with integrating...

Thanks! Do you mostly get eggs from Myshire? The first purchase I made was on ebay. The stock seems quite nice to me, as far as coloring goes. I understand that falb fees don't always breed true though, which is why we ended up with two pharoahs.

Shoot them?? I dont think anyone I know has that great aim. I will probably find someone I know to do it for me as well...
Good luck finding someone to do it for you. I tried. I really did. I didn't think I could do it, but I spent 3 months psyching myself up for it and did it.
We just moved into a new neighborhood, know a few people, but we are not fully vaccinated yet. Probably will do the head chopping method, do you recommend that?
I definitely recommend sharp shears to the neck.

Here's an article that might help.

Yes. Mostly Myshire.
I trust @Nabiki's eggs too.
I would not ever buy from someone I don't know well.

I will not make the mistake of bringing a disease into my flock.

Thats a good point! We only ever bought them once and got lucky. I dont plan to add anymore breeds though. So far, I just want to breed with the current flock.
