Have you joined @Kiki quail hatch a long???? We follow everyone’s hatching progress there since our first hatches in 2018!!!! it’s fun to see how many quail we all hatch!!!!

The immensity of this thread is intimidating. I always feel like I'm interrupting someone so I haven't posted in it.

Everyone is welcome in @Kiki threads!!!! Some of them have been running for a long time and can be a bit overwhelming at times but just jump right in and chat/hatch along!!!

I use the Mexican method or the mini Mexican method.


I'm a weenie I cannot kill them but I can butcher them.


Someone else cuts the head off or shoots them in the head for me.

Shoot them?? I dont think anyone I know has that great aim. I will probably find someone I know to do it for me as well...

My boy is a perfect shot.

He very rarely misses the first shot.
We cheat with a dollar store net to keep them still.

We just moved into a new neighborhood, know a few people, but we are not fully vaccinated yet. Probably will do the head chopping method, do you recommend that?

A good pair of scissors works great.
From what I hear it is extremely easy to just pull the head off too with your bare hands.

I think we have a couple of videos of some of us offing quail and butchering them.
I'm sure we can dig them up if you want to see them before you do your first one.
