Cool quail habitat!

You could add the ramp and outside area to the cage you built and keep your breeders happy!

I think those are button quail, the silver looks like it has a bib, which would indicate male.

Interesting set up, but not sure I would trust the parents to keep the babies safe unless they were experienced parents.

Where did you get all the 2x6 boards from? I'm stockpiling crates and getting free 1x4s.

Lighter but more challenging. I'm learning to build differently. This is a half and half build. The second will be interesting.

i built a large aviary for my coturnix/parakeets, sorry, i dont do pics, but it a simple thing, the only problem was to build the roof around the trees, that was a pain. yes, i have two large trees grow right through it which kind of makes the whole aviary wave in the storm, but i had no choice, i was not about to cut down two huge trees to fit my aviary - so they coexist
