even for that, that’s still super early. Let alone before then. It doesn’t even get light here until at least 6-6:30 right now. And neither my dad nor brother & SIL get up that early and they all work

They aren't working on a farm. Farm work can often start before daylight but definitely no later than daylight.

Yeah true but he included regular jobs in that too haha I guess if you commuted you might need to. No one in my family commutes so maybe that’s why.

There are lots of jobs that do not use a 9 AM to 5 PM schedule.
