Barefoot here is not a good thing. Way too many thorny things including pretty little flowers.

Thankfully none of that here! Mostly just clover and grass although I’ve been known to go in all the chicken pens barefoot

I try not to go in the driveway barefoot because the gravel and glass will get ya haha but the back is mostly safe.

Here, -20°F on a calm sunny day is quite comfortable on my deck. No need for even a light jacket.

As long as the sun is shining! So nice.

She’s at the top of the order so she didn’t get pushed off. If she is still trying to hatch a ceramic egg this evening when I get home I’ll break her. I don’t really want to deal with new chicks anyway.

That makes sense!! Totally understandable. I wanted chicks from my rooster and knew she was just confused so I put her back haha

Then look at hers with fresh eyes. Read it aloud if need-be.... Then read mine aloud as if it was a dialogue..... Just don't force your brain to "get it".... This is not the forest for the trees type of *seeing*.

This is much more akin to a field with 2 trees in it; much less distraction.

I would venture to say, The situation is more like the cart before the horse

On a dis-similar note.....

Anyone else ever get to sit out on the front of one of the pontoons as the boat was cruising along?

Did you leg your feet float along in the water?

Did you ever force the legs forward & point the toes straight ahead so that they cause the water to bulge over the foot is a glass-like smooth lens as you lifted the feet toward the surface?

I marveled at the effect the water had as a lens and magnified the image of each foot several fold.

I dunnknow, I was wearing skis!
