I wanted another Pixel but they were out of stock. I could have ordered one but I really couldn't be with out a phone for a week.

Na I think she's fine.
And Moonshiner isn't having a midlife crisis. He isn't like that for himself. He just hates seeing ladies in need or unhappy.
If he can bring joy or excitement into someones life why wouldn't he want to do that? His goal is to help them feel good about themselves not feel good himself.
That doesn't sound like a midlife crisis just a giving person. I am a little concerned with his new talking in third person though.

I still use a flip phone camera doesn't work, but it's at least 5 years old and completely waterproof

I use my phone to make money. It must work at all times.
