College is professional education. A lot of high school students are in for a shock when they hit college because the professors treat them like adults. No hand holding, excuses don't matter, just sitting in your seat isn't going to pass the class.

I see it all the time when I fail a student after warning them several times that if they didn't do their homework, they were going to fail. I didn't matter if they were there every day. Conversely, they will fail because they don't show up or are late every day even if they do all of their homework and ace the tests.

See that’s what everyone always says and what I thought it was gonna be but personally I thought college was way more chill

I have things pass through here from time to time.

I live right on the edge of a confederate battle ground though. Closest house was Stonewall Jackson's headquarters for that battle. Madison Hall.

That's happened to DD, when your average for the year in a particular subject is in the upper 90's and you are really ill, rarely miss school, sometimes teachers will take that those things under consideration.

I had one professor that really liked me because I actually did the work and had one of the highest grades in the class and I was nice to him. Almost everyone else was always saying how terrible he was and the class was so hard, etc. and I’m like.... it’s really not the funny thing too was literally all the test questions were the same as the quizzes we took and if people reviewed the quizzes and read the book, all the answers were right there. but no, they’d rather blame him and say how hard the class was. Anyway, point being, he liked me so when my grade was right on the line once he bumped it a teeny bit
