We bought 1/2 a beef last year. Worst ever so tough. Grass fed beef sucks. Flavor is good but tough. I’ll take grain/corn fed beef any day. Now the wife doesn’t want to do it again. Towards the end we took the steak and just ground it into hamburger

Cuz's is Black Angus, finished at a.. er... finishing place. It's sohohoho gooood. Maybe I'll get a feeder calf next spring and finish it here. DB has to eat grass-fed 'cause his wife's a doc and pays all the bills & so on. He says (without much enthusiasms) that it's not too bad. He was always the picky one--youngest child and all. So no, I don't feel too sorry for him.

Theia has been the perfect assistant, except when she disappears and hides in her crate for hours. I'm thinking about crawling in there with her.
