I highly recommend looking into setting up a Google account.

The mini has one.
He uses Google sheets and Google docs.

He can log in anywhere in the world and access his documents.
He doesn't have to be on his home computer to do so.

Home computer is all that I have, though.
Besides, I really like LibreOffice....
Or maybe I just don't like change. Yeah, that, too.
