Okay - this isn't really something I made, but it IS something I repurposed ... twice. The first time was when I inherited it from my brother. He moved to Louisiana and I jokingly asked if I could have the playhouse for my kids, who were still small. His response was, "If you can move it, you can have it." Challenge accepted!
We moved that sucker 30 miles on the back of a borrowed flatbed. Our poor buddy/driver hit a low-hanging branch with it, knocking it off the truck - in the middle of the street, no less. We then had to flip it end-over-end to get it down the drive and over a fence. What a mess! The kids used it for years until they finally outgrew it. That's when Mama took over and turned it into a chicken house!

The swings and the Little Tyke "deck chairs" are my personal Chicken TV perches - where I sit with my coffee or iced tea when the biddies get their limited free-range time. The rest is in an upper and a lower coop/run set-up. The bottom morphs into two separate runs, as needed. It's far from finished ... but it sure is fun to play in ...

The south side - facing the house. There used to be slides from the barn doors and from the gap on the deck side. Both have doors under them now, instead.

The "East Wing," which was the original playdeck/sandbox before adding the big cabin on the west side. I need to put a permanent cover on the top, as rain comes through the playhouse decking - hence the tarp, for now. I've been offered a used stall mat as a "roof," but I haven't been able to transport it, yet. I miss my pickup truck!

The "North Face" We added the small coop box for The Boys - my bachelor flock, but only one uses it. The others prefer the twisted tree branch in the open front ... even on cold, windy nights.

The barn doors close over the hardware cloth in inclement weather. A sliding plexi-window on the inside, for winter sunshine, is on my wish list. The birds don't really need it, but I would like to be able to sit in there in the winter without freezing to death!

It's still a work-in-progress. I need to put in lower perches and a low nest box. My BJG thinks she's a bantam and insists on perching way up high with the Nankins. We're adding a few more youngsters, next week, so hopefully some of that will happen sooner, rather than later. Fingers crossed.
It needs a name. So far, we just call it "Mom's Playhouse"

I don't think they are yours.
I think they are the dealer's.

You have the birds, cats and cows.
He gets the rabbits.
Ahhhh, so you do listen to me. :p :bun
Ok...I call Dh's bunnies...bunders.
I've got the cats, the dogs, the sheep and ALL the birds.
He has the bunnies and the cows. The cows are not mine. :p
Not even Sam.

Wow! I love those! Especially the candy. I can almost hear the wrappers crinkling and they look like I could reach out and touch them.
Thank you, that is so sweet. 🥰
The candy and self-portrait are both coloured pencil, one of my least favourite mediums. I'm happy I finished them but I will never willingly go back.
Since I did such a good job of embarrassing myself with the llama pics, a recent quilt is my real ticket entry-

That is really, really cool.

I've only ever had dried figs, but, yes, they're good!
I remember having this pastry once... it was some kind of wheat dough wrapped around figs and goat cheese, topped with sesame seeds... it was delicious....
A dried fig is nothing like a fig fresh off of the tree.

Anything!
How've you been?
How are your fish?
How are you chickens?
Have you been eating enough?
What's your sleep schedule been doing?
Do you have any more tests for us?
Have you hit on any girls yet?
Do I need to become the proxy wife again?
What the dickens have you been doing that's kept you away from BYC and making me worry!?
Tell me, tell me!
FISH?
I have a cool fish tale. My Mom has a smallish fish pond in he yard. We've teased her for years that she's spent enough time and money on the beast to have raised another child, instead ... and now she has! Koi don't generally breed in backyard ponds, they need really clean, clear water and "ideal" conditions. Well, apparently all of her anal ... I mean intricate care details have paid off ... and she has at least a dozen baby butterfly koi growing in there. I can't get good pics, yet because they're so small (about the size of fancy guppies) and they like to hide (apparently Mom and Dad really enjoy baby fish ... and not in a good way!) but I'll keep trying. It's SO COOL!
