Isn't it just wonderful when the wild onions come up in thw spring and how it makes the milk taste?

I cannot imagine how wonderful that would be.
I wonder if one could market that...onion flavoured milk...a plant based alternative.
(The cows "would" be eating plants...soooo, plant based, right?

You have WILD onions?? That's one thing we don't have. At least in this part of the country.

My father always did a cow and a calf. He would bring them in off of pasture a month before processing and feed them "mash" that last month.

Yes! Ours is spring before it gets turned out.
