Madisonville, what a cute little river town! (Tchefuncte if I recall) Went to the Wooden Boat Festival once in Madisonville, LA. Pretty cool.

Or Hurricanes, hand grenades, or any other fancy crap they serve down in the Quarter. I used to warn people all the time to only drink one fancy drink then go back to what they’re used too. The ones that listened had a good time, the ones that didn’t had their head out the window all the way across the Causeway.
Oh, and DON’T EVER eat a Lucky Dog on Bourbon St!

You’re probably referring to the one on the Madisonville side of the river. I used to live on a houseboat at the Marina just across the bridge on the Mandeville side that had a little bar/grill. We referred to it as the Marina. I worked with her and her daughter there for some extra cash. Her daughter went on to open her own restaurant in Madinsonville called I believe Annalisa’s.

Tennessee corn likker is Whisky. Bourbon is refined corn whisky from Kentucky aged in first time Oak Barrells blah blah blah!

I have no dog in that fight as I like both! I'm just a dang bourbon snob....

Because when the family starts speaking German and shoots glances every so often at new guy.... he has no idea what they're saying and gets uncomfortable.

But, but it's the family's responsibility to make boyfriends uncomfortable.

You can tell them all day long. At the end of the day, nothing prepares one for my family.

And this is why the Princess never met my family until we were engaged, and she was fully committed.
