I just remembered I think I did pushups yesterday too or maybe that was Friday.
You should really try to improve your core strength before working on push-ups and the like. Core includes the back!
 
Because you did it wrong! Start out on your knees next time. Work your way up. A lot of people mess themselves up jumping right in.

Good point!!! How would I work on that?? I can do push-ups but I’m not particularly good at them.
