Killing ants with Borax

    Hi, got alot of ants crawling in the coop so I put out some Terro ant baits which use Borax. The ants don't actually eat the food the chickens and duck go after except for maybe a lost mealworm (very few and far between I guarantee) so ant consumption is probably minimal. Just wondering if small amounts of borax accidentally consumed will be a problem for the birds.

    I wouldn't worry about the chickens actually consuming enough ants to cause them a problem. I would just make sure the chickens couldn't get at the terro.
