Kinda dumb question

OK IK this isn't were I should ask this but I thought maybe someone could answer I'm making a minnow/fish storage tank from a old chest freezer (ima use it to feed my chickens fish and go fishing with)I need a aerator for it but it cost alot but I have a electric air pump from a old blow up bed if I add a tube to it would that work until I can get a real one i think it might work but I'm just wondering what people think let me know thank you

You should likely need to use a control valve (available at any pet store) to adjust the air flow rate.

I hooked it up and the minnows Are still alive so Im guessing it's working lol
