KitchenAid attachments

I have the Shredder attachement which I use when canning and I need to cut up veggies for soup. Honestly the I have a electric ice cream maker and never use it. I think the same would go for the Kitchenaid attachment. don't get me wrong we love ice cream but don't take the time to make it so iit would be a dust collector.

Ok, now that I wiped my chin off......

I want that paddle Ann posted as well as the food grinder/strainer combo, the shredder/slicer and the pasta roller.

WOW!
Look at this package!!!

Look at the strainer/juicer link on my post on previous page. I would get that one over the KitchenAid. There are 4 different screening cones that allow you to process all kinds of fruits and vegetables. I got mine for about $35.00 by shopping the Internet.

Extra bowls...lots of extra bowls!

Once I get the kitchen in high gear, I hate having to stop and wash the bowl just to keep going. I also love the shredder attachment.

I have one similar. I wanted to get away from the hand cranking plus the people who built this house didn't allow for clamping anything on the counter.

I can't even get my cherry pitter to clamp.

I never could get the pasta maker thing to work. Tried several different pasta dough recipes and finally gave up after much cussing. Made DH return it, and it turns out Williams-Sonoma only does in house credit nowadays rather than actual refunds. I found it easier to use a regular egg-noodle recipe for pasta and roll it out by hand on the countertop with a marble rolling pin.

I managed to burn out the grater/slicer attachment. You seriously have to oil that thing with mineral oil several times during Zucchini Season.

I actually rather like my grain grinder, but then again I like making whole grain refrigerator bread. You just have to use a BIG bowl and do a bunch at once.

Does that mean I need to buy the grinder for when I get a load of tomatoes in? I really want to can some tomato sauce.

Finally had the opportunity to use the meat grinder attachment. WOW it worked really well. Ground up some extra prime rib and made a great spaghetti sauce for the freezer.

Looking forward to using next year when we want to try and make homemade sausage from the meat birds we will get in spring.

halo - Yes you have to have ALL the toys - makes cooking and canning so much more fun!

Yes you have to buy the grinder attactment to have the strainer to work. I got the strainer on Ebay right now and there is NO grinder attactment including with it.

It makes the THICK sauce from my Romas and its great tasting!
