Update- we did gt our home and love living here! Husband is starting on the coop this week and I am anxiously awaiting an impending hatching from a chicken friend up the road.
Brooder is all set up and I am waiting here like an expectant mother! lol!

Thank you all for your welcoming and great info. Chicken "peeps" are just the best. :)

That's awesome! I've found this area to be extremely dense with chicken keepers, in fact, I know more people who keep chickens than don't. :lol:

Certainly, a great place to live for fowl lovers.
